Witch-hunting in Salem

Who's a WITCh here????

Gosh...I forgot almost 90% of what I had labouriously studied in my secondary school literature text - The Crucible, so when we dropped by Massachusetts, we had to make a trip to Salem for a refresher. Kim and her childhood friend Joe joined us in our Witch-hunt with lunch first at Witch's Brew Cafe(yummy French Onion soup!) and then to a nice local coffee place Jaho Coffee, where their motto is "Live Slow". Instead of the usual Starbucks service, we were served at a very leisurely pace with our beautifully crafted cuppa yummy hot coffee - just the way I like it. Ahhhh....this is life!!!! An inspiring scriptwriter must share the same sentiments since he was punching at his 1800's typewriter next to our table while sipping his hot tea and eavesdropping on our table's gossip at the same time. Cool guy tho' - he defied modern comforts of laptop and uses an ancient secondhand $10 typewriter to write his stories. Every word must count.

The Salem Witch Hunt museum was a bit of a joke but I think this is the only place probably worth going to in this town. Nice town to skip by for the afternoon and get a bit "spooked" for fun and then scoot out of town again. Just so glad I discovered Jaho Coffee...
