Man Yue (full month)

Unbelievable.

Time really flies.

My son has turned "man yue", Chinese for full month, his first month on earth.
Usually, this will be the turning point cos finally the mother can take a shower since the confinement month is over(yucks), and the baby will be presentable and chubby enough to show off to all relatives and friends(instead of the scrawny, wrinkly lil' tyke you brought home from the hospital), and everyone will be happy to receive traditional red dyed eggs, ang ku kueh(red bean paste cakes) and marble cake(or whatever pound cakes) from you as they hand you an ang bao, a baby-sized gold necklace/bracelet(we got a baby piglet pendant from Uncle Kelvin&family, thank you!), or baby hampers filled with easy snap-on clothes and "I love Mommy/Daddy/Grandma/Boobs" bibs/hats/socks.

Unfortunately, we are not back in Singapore so (1)The mother(er-hem) has already showered, even when she was still in the hospital, and (2)We only bought a cake and candle for my petite son and can only show off his cute little feet and frowny "Oh-look-what-you-are-making-me-do" face to everyone on my blog.

Thank you all for your kindness and gifts on behalf of Theoden.
Xie Xie...hope you all enjoyed the ang ku kueh and red eggs!!! =)
