Sweeping over Yosemite from Glacier Point

One word: MAGNIFICENT

Day 4: Yosemite National Park
If anyone were to visit Yosemite National Park, I guarantee the highlight of their trip is to Glacier Point. From this vantage point, you get a sweeping panorama view of the famous granite sheer drop Half Dome, Yosemite Falls(the 5th tallest waterfall in the world), the Yosemite Valley and a whole range of sheer rocks and drops that makes you quiver at your knees when you lean too far off the railing.

We were so lucky to be able to drive through this road to Glacier Point on a clear, sunny Saturday morning cos it turned overcast by afternoon in the park and the road was closed due to rain & snow the next day. Yosemite Falls was unfortunately as dry as a menopausal woman and the only time of the year to fully appreciate its full blast is from April to June.

And...we made it through Tioga Pass to the east side of the Sierra Nevada mountains! Park rangers were predicting the weather to turn foul and 90% chance of closing the road the next day prompted us to just take the drive to Lee Vining instead of spending the night near Yosemite Valley. And boy, were we glad we did it! Otherwise, it would have made our drive towards Death Valley National Park into an 8 hrs drive instead! Too much driving and not enough sight-seeing lah...

No animal sighting today. :(
